...and she came out in a rubber bag!

.
Is it just me, or does toetagged Tina in the original Elm Street look far more unsettling than the still below from the remake? The girl in the Bayified re-imagining looks the victim of a raspberry jam and cellophane (or dress closet bag?) experiment gone wrong...

Amanda Wyss will always be Tina to me.

Yep, same here, I don't even think the character is named Tina in the remake.

Agreed. Looks like she got wrapped up in a shower curtain vs. body bag.

I don't even think the original is that good - I liked it as a kid though, and that scene scared the shit out of me. That remake pic looks lame.

Oooooh. Interesting. I was determined to hate this remake and not bother seeing it (that'd show Michael Bay, eh?), but I am intrigued now. What!? Shut up, I can't help it. I have no principles.

Maybe its the lighting?? ... sorry, had to play devils advocate. Garbage.

This scene in the remake wasn't working for me until she opened her mouth and laughed. That gave me chills. I still prefer the older one though.

...do you dare tread upon the staircase?
