This was a groundbreaking Italian crime film; the country's answer to The French Connection. It's magnificent, but it's still "lost"
There's a horrible U.K. DVD that's panned and scanned and looks as bad as an old YouTube video. A Japanese DVD is widescreen, but is non-anamorphic and only has the Italian track.
I've heard in the past Blue Underground attempted to release it on DVD, but the Italian holding company's licensing fee was ridiculously high.

My friend Stefania's father directed this - in fact, - spoiler alert - she's the little girl who gets run over!
Yes. Excellent film. I have the biggest man-crush on Franco Nero. There, I said it.
