...found its way into my mailbox today! Pioneer Japan's withdrawn, anamorphic LD of Terminator 2: Judgment Day with non-color corrected picture and original theatrical audio mix!
...do you dare tread upon the staircase?

Apparently Cameron blew a gasket upon seeing this disc, had it stopped, and had THX remaster the picture and Rydstrom craft a home theater remix. The bass on this LD is crushing even compared to the Blu-rays.
Great pick up Jayson, I didn't even know anamorphic laserdiscs existed, do you know how many more were released? and how did it work on an analogue format?
Are you going to be posting comparison shots?
That's awesome! How does it look on your 16:9 display compared to the US THX LD? Does the extra resolution actually make a difference?
Awesome! Congrats, Jayson!
Extremely sweet, score! Jayson, your knowledge of formats and releases constantly humbles me.
Can I double-check with you about the non colour-corrected picture. I have this LD too, PILF-2187, and I've compared it side-by-side with the BluRay as well as jumped to shots as seen on the original non color-corrected trailer. My laserdisc has dodgy coloured scenes, but it ISN'T "non color-corrected" It looks to me like it was just generally not corrected. But it's in no way like the original 35mm print, before CC.
