I remember when it was announced that they found all that missing materials and scenes and were finally going to put the film together the way it should have been and that it was to air in HD on television for the first time. Very exciting stuff, then they never released it on Blu-ray. What the hell MGM? Now it's out of print. Any news on this?

It's a shame that MGM has so many great Horror titles and release so little on Blu-Ray. Although the ones that have been released are pretty decent, fully restored or not.

MGM has been pretty slow with catalog Blu-rays probably because of their continuing financial troubles. The DVD is out of print?! That sucks...

Was there any difference to the Dragon release and the US one, as I have the original Dragon DVD.

Yep, the MGM has unrated footage cut by the MPAA for an R restored and integrated back into the film for the first time ever. Also has a commentary and several new featurettes. And I doubt the PQ touches the MGM. ;)

Gorgeous. One of my big favorites, with the horror eye candy factor being one of the reasons for that. And yes, that transfer is the stuff dreams are made out of.

From Beyond is one of the best looking DVDs in my collection. If all DVDs looked as good as this one, I wouldn't need to upgrade to Blu Ray, especially for older, relatively low-budget movies like this one. This disc really shows how good DVD can look if you leave out a lot of the digital "enhancements."

...do you dare tread upon the staircase?
