New Line, what the hell?

.
New Line will be re-releasing The Nightmare Collection, featuring NOES 1-7 and Freddy vs. Jason, on DVD (no word of extras) in April.
Though why in the hell did they use a still of Jackie Earle Haley's Freddy for the cover?

Way to further piss on Englund's legacy in horror and your studio's history, New Line...

they wanted to confuse us... with the idea of this nightmare bile... i refuse to see this new nightmare, with the crap that was friday the 13th and halloween 2. simple formula, churned out all this garbage. just cause you say a characters name... michael, freddy, jason... does not mean fans will flock to the shows. now don't get me wrong i love jackie, but not as freddy k.

new generation of fans... when you have a map of the classic films, watch those not the new...

okay, then! thanks for your info!

Ya know, yesterday I saw this online as well... and also, I ran across a comment some dude left on the new "karate kid" remake trailer saying that it actually looks pretty good. What a complete and utter load of bullshit!

Looks like New Line is going to squeeze more money out of the fans. And I bet these are going to sell like crazy when the remake is released.

I'm fine with my original collection DVD set as well and will skip.

It also looks like this set is a repackaging of the previous DVD's and removes the second discs of the first and last films. I would love to see new versions of Parts 2-7 on DVD (especially an unrated release of Part 5), but this looks like one to pass on.

I really hope that they either change the way it looks or add extras so I can just shove the dvds in my old Nightmare box set thing.

The new one comes out 3 days after my birthday, so it better be good. Or I'll eat faces. (Faces, not feces)

Okay, besides the slap at Robert Englund from "The House That Freddy Built," where's "Wes Craven's New Nightmare"? I know it's not exactly canon, but it's a hell of a lot better that "Freddy Vs Jason" was. Grrr.

...do you dare tread upon the staircase?
