Haha - that looks both awesome and painful.

Yeah - I always wondered how Charlie could go looking for the rights to make a Doctor Strange movie, and when he couldn't get/afford them, he made this movie and nobody seemed to have a problem with it? I really enjoyed it, a fun Full Moon flick from back in the day!

WOW! I'd never heard of this either. Looks like one of the better Full Moon efforts, harking back to a day when Empire pictures was in full swing making creative movies.

I actually have a copy of Doctor Mordrid in the 18-disc Full Moon Archive box set. Had no idea that Combs was in it, or that there was a stop motion dino skeleton battle. Time to tear that set open and watch me some Mordrid.

Wasn't this supposed to be the Dr Strange movie, but something happened with Marvel Comics and Fullmoon just changed the main character's name?

This was a pretty fun movie, I think I remember reading that this film was supposed to be a Doctor Strange film, but Marvel never gave these guys the rights, so I guess they figured they'd invent their own.

It's a pretty nifty flick for such a low budget affair, it plays with all the same ideas that a Doctor Strange film would mess around with, only thing they changed the names around.

Jeffrey Combs playing the sorcerer was awesome, it has a bit of old school stop motion in it. One of the better Full Moon productions, unfortunately I think it can only be aquired via an expensive boxed set that Charles Band sells through his web site.

It's also available in the much less expensive "Charles Band Collection Vol. 1" set, which is how I've seen it. And it's certifiably great.

I loved this movie when I saw it back in 2003 or around then. I really wish Full Moon would start coming with some remastered re-releases.

...do you dare tread upon the staircase?
