I learned something new the other day while stalkin...errmmm, visiting the wonderful Day of the Woman. Apparently in the world of tumblr, "GPOY" means "Gratuitous Picture of Yourself". Well, today I'm going to coin new hipster terminology with "GPOYJ-VHS", or "Gratuitous Picture of Your Japanese VHS". I've been going on an admittedly wild tangent of acquiring tapes from the humble island as of late. The bug has bitten me hard and if I ever went to Japan and walked into a video stop I'd eventually fall into police custody over refusing to leave. I've essentially eliminated other collection spending for the time being to go nuts with the almost always beautifully illustrated videos from the Land of the Rising Sun. Hence the reason for no firsthand updates on the recent Blu-rays I've prattled on about pre-release lately. Some of these were very hard-won!

Ahh was that Last Flight to Hell from spiral the other week? If so, damn you, you outbid me :) lol. Love the Strike Commando edition you have there without the outer border like mine has.
Sweet selection man! Heard great things about Strike Commando, even bid on a recent Japanese VHS copy, where I was outbid of course. Maybe one day I'll get to see it.
