Based on reports from others and buying the disc myself this morning, Wal Mart is featuring Anchor Bay's re-release of J. Lee Thompson's 1981 Happy Birthday to Me in their Halloween DVD line-up right now for the nice price of only five bucks. This disc re-instates the original score missing and replaced with new music from the Sony disc (with terrible cover art) a few years back. Nice anamorphic transfer, but I never bought the Sony edition so I can't directly compare the picture quality between the two. The only extra is the film's theatrical trailer.

This is a great heads-up, thanks, man.
Damn! That's awesome! I was planning on picking it up for full price on Tuesday.
BTW, I saw this a long time ago but didn't realize J. Lee Thompson directed it. I've watched a shitload of his Bronson flicks over the past year.
Went to Wal Mart this morning but they didn't have it. :(
Found a copy at a different Wal Mart. Yay. Now I can stop leaving you annoying comments.
